Stanley Bodek and Alex Cook, both 1977 graduates of
the University of Pennsylvania, installed the Rodeo
Drive sign on a real estate project at Lancaster
Avenue and 39th Street in the early 1980's.
During their ownership, the building served as an abandoned gas station, an accountant's office, a detective agency and a speakeasy. Bodek and Cook sold the building to Mai in the early 1990's. |
